Best Man, check

Maid of Honor, check

Wedding location and reception, underway.

Our Best Man will be Blake's big brother Chris. He has always been there for him through thick and thin and truly is the definition of "Big Brother". We could not ask for a better man to stand by his side.

Our Maid of Honor will be Meagan's little sister Aileen. She will bring great things to the bridal party. Aileen is a great helper, an amazing listener, has ideas to share, and is creative. We are looking forward to using her talents in our wedding.

We have started our tours and search for the location of the wedding and reception! Everything is so real and exciting for us!

APPROVED!

Even before the engagement Blake and I decided to try to get pre-approved for a house (In this economy-why not?!?!) So we got word that we were APPROVED! We have to have a contract written up by April and a closing date by June to get the $8,000 the government is offering to first time home buyers. This is obviously our goal! We are starting the search with a Realtor over the holiday break. She is a friend of mine that teaches across the hall from me. Let us know if you have any great houses around you for sale!

Why Serendipity: Our Story

For those that do not know our story, here is a quick recap.

We chose the theme of Serendipity due to the meaning of the word: A fortunate accident.

We did not intend on meeting each other, especially falling in love. Blake lived in Arizona and Meagan was going to school at Carthage College in Wisconsin. As fate would have it, we met at Blake's family's house in Crystal Lake, Illinois on Dec. 28th 2004! When Blake left to go back to Arizona and Meagan to school, we stayed in touch via phone... everyday. Our love and story has grown ever since... and we have NEVER missed a day where we have not talked :)

First Post!

Welcome to Meagan and Blake's Blog. It will be a great way for us to keep our families and friends informed on the CRAZY wedding plans :) Especially those that live far away! We are setting up the page to give you a glimpse of our personalities, tastes, and styles. From Blake's handwriting (ALL CAPS), to Meagan's organization (OCD!).
